About This Professional "Wordsmith"
Dallas-based Gary Bowen is a seasoned
freelance writer and editor with deep experience in journalism,
marketing, ghostwriting and - for over 20 years - online content. He
proffered his gift for turning phrases into a variety of writing, publishing, radio, television and newspaper performance and management positions 35 years ago.
His introduction to the Internet in the late-80's - when it was still called the Arpanet - made him one of the first to apply the commercial applications of this medium to business communications and marketing: with clients ranging from the fledgling Audionet (ne Broadcast.com) to Fortune 500 giants such as American Airlines. Others followed: such as Siemens, Nokia, the Indian computer conglomerate HCL, and Fidelity Financial Services. Additional corporate enterprises, tech and software service providers, and small/medium sized businesses (SMB's) joined his client resume.
In 1996, he envisioned, then created, the first interactive PressRoom -
with streaming audio, daily updates and finely-targeted, hotlinked email press releases: then nurtured the format in the ensuing years to where it is an accepted standard for successful online (and mobile) media relations campaigns.
A respected business writer for many years, today his passion is
creating effective and compelling content in a host of ways that fit
virtually all communication media: traditional and leading-edge.
Share your content needs and ideas. Gary will listen attentively, clearly explain your best options, then deliver your chosen solution on-time, on-budget, no muss/no fuss.
